A little bit about me...

I am a UK trained General Practitioner (GP) and have a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science, a PG Diploma in Nutritional Medicine and a Certificate in Plant Based Nutrition.

I have witnessed the importance of lifestyle on our health, and I am passionate about a plant-focused lifestyle to optimise health and prevent disease. The evidence supporting this way of eating is mounting, showing benefit for both health and the environment.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 2016 and wanted to reduce my chances of disease return following surgery. I soon discovered studies and research around a whole-food plant-based diet and realised this would be worth trying for not only Crohn's disease but for my overall health and wellbeing.

Six years on, I am still in remission and on no medications. I am under no illusion that surgery was the much needed and pivotal point in my disease management.

I do believe, however, that my ongoing disease remission has been hugely impacted by my daily decisions to eat whole-food plant-based meals. This is not to say I never eat chocolate or chips (as my husband will testify!) but they aren't regular foods.

I am passionate about sharing the benefits of this way of eating, and helping people incorporate the principles into their routine.

My services involve nutrition coaching and lifestyle adaptions. I am not operating as a private GP. If there are concerns which I feel need medical input, then I will (with your consent) write to your GP regarding these.

I am based in North Devon, where I live with my husband and little boy. I will be able to offer consultations via video (zoom/facetime/whatsapp) or phone call.
